About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and OddsLink ("we", "us"). "You" means the person or the organisation that creates the account. If you accept these terms for an organisation, you confirm that you may bind it.
These terms, the Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the service.
What the service is
OddsLink is a data service. It collects the prices that sportsbooks, betting exchanges and prediction markets publish, puts them in one format, and delivers them through a REST API with documentation at /docs/.
We are not a bookmaker. We do not take bets, hold funds for betting, or pass bets to anyone, and we run no contests, games or prize draws. Nothing we publish is betting, financial or investment advice, or a recommendation to place any bet. What you pay for is access to data, never a chance to win anything.
You are responsible for making sure your own use of the data is legal where you and your users are. Some places restrict betting or information about betting; knowing and following those rules is your job.
Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
- Give a real email address and keep it current. We send account, billing and security notices there.
- You are responsible for everything done with your account and your API keys.
- One free account per person or organisation. Opening extra accounts to get more free requests is not allowed.
API keys
Your API keys are secret. Use them from your own servers and apps, keep them out of public code and web pages, and do not share them with anyone outside your organisation. We store only a one-way hash of each key, so we cannot show you a lost key; you can revoke it and create a new one on your account page. If you think a key has leaked, revoke it straight away and tell us.
Plans, billing and renewal
- The Free plan costs nothing and needs no payment details. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly, in advance, at the prices on the pricing page, in US dollars. Taxes such as VAT or sales tax may be added at checkout depending on where you are.
- Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, at the same price, until you cancel.
- We may change plan prices going forward. A price change applies to your next renewal at the earliest; we will tell you before it takes effect.
- You can change plan from your account page. Before you confirm, the checkout shows what you will pay and when.
- If a payment fails, we may pause paid features until it succeeds. Your account moves to the Free plan if the payment is not made.
Card details are entered on our payment processor's hosted page. We never see or store your full card number; we keep a token that lets us charge the card you saved.
Referral program
These rules apply when referrals are available in your account. After your first paid base subscription charge, you can share your account's referral link while you remain a paying customer. There is no monthly referral limit.
- New customers receive 10% off their first three settled monthly base-plan charges within six months of their first paid charge. Annual charges and months under review hold consume no discount slots. Upgrades, taxes and add-ons are excluded. Annual plans keep their separate annual discount.
- The referrer earns account credit worth one month of the cheaper participant's base plan, capped at $200 per new customer, once. The new customer's price is fixed at their first paid base charge; the referrer's price is measured at release. Annual base prices are divided by 12. Add-ons, account credit and test payments do not increase the reward.
- Credit qualifies only if the new customer is active at the 30-day anniversary of their first paid base charge, without a refund or dispute during that window; otherwise it expires. The referrer must be active at release. A review hold delays release and use.
- Credit offsets future base-subscription renewals and plan-switch or upgrade charges automatically, oldest credit first. It expires 12 calendar months after release. It cannot pay for add-ons, be transferred, or be exchanged for cash. A fully credited renewal has a credit statement instead of a card charge.
- A referral link is remembered for 30 days on that browser. The first valid link wins; an explicit code at signup overrides it. Attribution is fixed when the account is created and survives email confirmation. On another device, enter the code before creating the account. Existing accounts cannot add or change a referrer.
- Self-referrals and duplicate accounts are ineligible. Payment-token reuse may trigger identity review; sharing an IP address alone does not disqualify a customer. Spam, misleading promotion and paid brand bidding are prohibited.
- A confirmed refund or dispute of the qualifying charge within 30 days voids the pending reward and remaining discounts. After release, a later refund or dispute holds the remaining unspent credit for owner review. Already used credit never becomes debt. A referrer's own refund does not affect their referred customers. Referrers see aggregate counts and credit amounts, never referred customers' emails.
Cancelling
You can cancel a paid plan at any time with "Cancel subscription" in the Billing panel of your account page, or through the contact form. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep your paid plan until the end of the period you have already paid for, then the account moves to the Free plan. Your account and keys stay; you can close the account completely by asking us.
Refunds
Fees are non-refundable, except where the Refund Policy says otherwise or the law requires a refund. We do not give partial refunds or credits for unused time, unused requests, or a plan you downgraded mid-period. The Free plan lets you test the API with real data before you pay.
Limits and fair use
Each plan has a monthly request allowance and a speed limit (requests per second), both shown on the pricing page. Only calls that return prices count against the allowance. When the allowance is used up, those calls are refused until the month turns or you move up a plan; we never charge for extra use. Calls above the speed limit are refused with an error until the rate drops.
You agree not to get around these limits, for example by spreading one workload across several accounts.
How you may use the data
While your account is in good standing, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the data the API returns in your own products, apps, research and analysis, including showing it to your own users as part of something you built.
You may not:
- resell, rent or give away the data as a data feed or API of its own, or use it to build a service that offers odds data to others in bulk;
- share your account or keys with, or make calls on behalf of, other organisations;
- scrape the website, probe for other customers' data, or try to get past authentication or the limits above;
- overload or disrupt the service, or interfere with other customers' use of it;
- use the service for anything illegal, including illegal gambling, fraud or breaking sanctions.
Bookmaker and market names are the trademarks of their owners. We show them only to say where a price came from. Using them does not mean those companies endorse OddsLink or your product.
Accuracy and availability
Prices come from third parties and change constantly. We work to keep them current and remove prices that are too old to serve, but we cannot promise that any price is complete, correct, or still on offer at a book when you read it. A book can show a different price to a particular customer or region, limit how much it accepts, or change a price between the moment we read it and the moment you do. Always check a price with the book itself before you rely on it.
We aim to keep the API available at all times, but we do not promise it will be free of interruptions, delays or errors. Books change their sites, go offline or stop publishing a market, and we may need maintenance. Which books, sports and markets we cover can change.
Ownership
We own the service: the API, the software, the way the data is collected, matched and formatted, the documentation and the OddsLink name. The underlying prices are published by the books; we do not claim to own them. These terms give you the right of use described above and nothing more.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account, or revoke keys, if it breaks these terms, puts the service or other customers at risk, involves fraud or a disputed payment, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
If we stop offering the service altogether, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance and refund the unused part of any prepaid period.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we give no warranties, express or implied, including about accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted use.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost revenue, lost data, or losses from betting or trading decisions made using the data. Our total liability for all claims about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and USD 100.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of how you used the service in breach of these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms. The date at the top of this page shows the last change. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
